ChristianaCare, a large tertiary care health system in the Mid-Atlantic region, is seeking an experienced Board Certified Neurointerventional Radiologist with CAST or Equivalent Certification, to join our well-established high-volume team in Newark, Delaware. This physician will be responsible for providing expert diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with neurovascular, spine and pain disorders, using minimally endovascular and percutaneous procedures.

- BC Diagnostic Radiology
- BC Neuroradiology
- Fellowship training in Neurointerventional Radiology
- CAST or Equivalent Certification
Requirements and Responsibilities:
- 100% neurointerventional position (Vascular and Spine/Pain)
- Dedication to providing the highest level of patient care and safety.
- Strong clinical background to evaluate and manage patients with a wide range of neurovascular and spine disorders.
- Perform diagnostic cerebral angiography, embolization, mechanical thrombectomy and other neurovascular intervention.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with neuroscience, primary care, and other specialty providers across the institution, including neurology, neurosurgery, neuro critical care, ED, trauma, ENT, ophthalmology, and vascular surgery.
- Up to date on guidelines and standards of care in ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke and percutaneous spine procedures with comfort using the range of current and latest technologies, procedures and medications related to the field of neurointerventional surgery.
- Participate in and/or lead clinical research and trials to advance the field of neurointerventional surgery.
- Strong clinical background with excellent judgement and decision-making abilities coupled with excellent diagnostic interpretation of neuroradiology studies and interventional skills.
- Ability to work within a team (partners and APP/office staff) combined with clear communication with patients, families, and medical professionals.
- Interested candidates may have an opportunity to participate in stereotactic radiosurgery at the Helen Graham Cancer Center in conjunction with Radiation Oncology.
- Interested candidates may have an opportunity to participate in Pediatric Neurointerventional procedures at the AI Dupont Children's Hospital in Wilmington, DE

- The Department of Neurointerventional Surgery (NIS) at ChristianaCare was established in 2007, and currently performs over 1200 procedures annually.
- NIS is a full-service medical subspecialty in the Neurosciences Service line at ChristianaCare that provides clinical consultations, co-manages patients, and admits primary NIS patients, with a busy outpatient clinic practice.
- The candidate would join a multidisciplinary team of 4 physicians and dedicated NIS advanced practice providers at Delaware's only Comprehensive Stroke Center.
- Catchment area of 1.2 million patients accepting patients from DE, NJ, PA and MD
- 8 Board Certified Vascular Neurologists & Neurohospitalists to increase to 11 in July 2025.
- 5 Board Certified Neurocritical Care Physicians
- 8 Neurosurgeons
- 8 Neuroradiologists
- Two state-of-the-art Siemens Neurointerventional bi-plane angiography rooms, with a third back-up Philips biplane room.
- 18 dedicated Neurocritical Care beds, 6 Transitional Neurology Unit beds, 2 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit beds, and 25 Stroke Treatment and Recovery Unit beds.
