This position is responsible for management, supervision, and training of all linen services Associates. Establishes processes and monitors Associate?s work activities to maximize patient and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Coordinates the processing/deliveries of linens, and is responsible for the supervision Central Laundry Staff to ensure department efficiency and continuity of service at all times
Manage the hiring, evaluate and discipline all Laundry employees on specified shifts; prepare work schedules to maintain adequate staffing and manage all payroll related functions
Inspect cleanliness of facility, sanitation and infection control; take corrective action where necessary
Provide supportive leadership; a feeling of complete trust, security, and satisfaction through demonstrations of competence and willingness to serve
Develop a stable, competent work force and encourage personal growth of all personnel through periodic evaluation and review
Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients and co-workers
Is responsive to customer needs
Manages the day-to-day functions of the laundry production staff and area in an effective, timely and professional manner
Assists with performance appraisal reviews for laundry production staff as needed
Performs disciplinary and counseling reviews for laundry staff members as needed
Ensures that the production department and staff members adhere to all department policies and procedures at all times
Responsible for managing front office area and for collecting and entering data in regards to linen usage
Conducts weekly production inspections, safety observation forms, client rounding's, and employees rounding's
Coordinates and ensures communication boards are up to date and compliant
Monitors all phone calls from hospital and clinic and manages response time for linen requests
Responsible for completing employee training and files accordingly
Maintains compliance with all requirements of Federal, State and local regulations and guidelines including the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, as amended, and the Americans with Disabilities Act, as amended
