Duke University Health System - Patient Revenue Management Office (PRMO) seeks to hire a Service Access Team Leaderwho will embrace our mission of Advancing Health Together.
General Description of the Job Class
Coordinate and participate in clinic service activities to achieve continuous and optimal patient care.
Duties and Responsibilities of this Level
Coordinate and participate in Front desk Functions.
Coordinate and participate in Financial Care Counselors duties when FCC is Out of the Office.
Collaborate with Financial Care Counselor to assist with supervision and participate in determining Financial applications, arrangements, and establishing fees.
Maintain professional working relationships with all Clinic Providers, Attending of the Day, Social Workers, Nurses and Nurse Practitioner.
Collaborate with Service Access Manager on Cash Management requirements and clinic goals; such as Registration Quality, POS Collection, Copay Collection, Internal Control Audits, Cash Management Audits, Financial Hardship Application, MyChart setup, and any work associated with New Patient Apps.
Collaborate with Service Access Manager with Mentoring, Onboarding, and Orienting new Employees both PSA and FCC.
Coordinate work within Work queue 163128, 165022, 165154, and Claim Edits 163328, and 163309 8 for subsequent performance of duties.
Collaborate with Service Access Manager to assure all staff are Cross Trained for every clinic associated with Behavioral Health Outpatient, Behavioral Health Access, Electroconvulsive Therapy, and Tran scranial Magnetic Stimulation Clinics.
Work closely with patients to ensure understanding of Benefits Collection, and answer questions related to Billing, Charges, and procedures.
Delegate work to staff when Service Access Manager is Out of the Office.
Collaborate with Service Access Manager to facilitate EVS, and E&O tickets as it pertains to Temperature, Cleanliness of building, etc.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
High school diploma required.
Experience
Four years of experience in a healthcare setting is required. An Associate's degree in healthcare or business may substitute for two years of experience. A Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare may substitute for four years of experience.
