The role you’ll contribute:
Provides clerical, secretarial and receptionist support for the Therapy Services department, independently and with minimum supervision performs other diverse duties as requested or required.Possess skill in the techniques of patient relations efficiently assisting in the processing/registration of patients, under the general and direct supervision of the Clinical Director.

·Receives incoming phone calls by third ring using courteous customer oriented techniques and routes calls accordingly.
·Meets and greets visitors and patients in a friendly, courteous, timely manner 100% of the time and directs them to the appropriate areas or department personnel.
·Maintains patient appointment calendars, documenting accurate times and ensuring an efficient flow of patient treatment through effective scheduling of patients.
·Responds to all patient information inquiries in a confidential and courteous manner.
·Obtains new patient intake information and verifies insurance information, acquiring precertification on patients when required.
·Assists new patients with completion of registration and consent forms and copies these forms for the department secretary to complete the computer portion of the registration.
·Compiles chart for new patients to include doctor order, insurance information, medical history form, and consent forms.
·Receives and maintains patient co-pay/deductible payment records.
·Trains staff in all areas of front office duties including patient scheduling and insurance requirements.
·Responsible for patient charge procedures within the Therapy Services department as assigned by the Clinical Director.
·Explains the insurance co-pays/deductibles to appropriate patients.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
·High school graduate or equivalent.
·Clerical, administrative experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
·Medical clerical experience in a hospital physical therapy department, nursing home or rehabilitation agency is preferable
