11/21/24 to 12/4/24Logistics - Head Nurse (N3)Summary - Under the supervision of a higher level professional nurse, incumbents of this position are responsible for the planning of patient placement and through-put for patients, coordinating with nursing units on bed availability and maintenance of standards of practice, departmental philosophy and overall hospital objectives. Understands KPI and experience Quality/Performance Improvement projects.Coordinateservices provided by other departments for the nursing unit. May provide consultation to other nursing and health care professionals in the area of specialization. Supervision is exercised over a number of professional, para-professional, clerical and clinical support staff. License, Certification, and Registration: Possession of a valid license and current registration, issued by the New York State Education Department, as a Registered Nurse.Training and

Experience:

either: (a) three years of nursing experience, which must have included regular charge assignments; and or logistic experience with bed management, or (b) a Bachelor's degree* or Master's degree* in Nursing, and two years of nursing experience, which must have included regular charge assignments; and or logistic experience and or bed management.
