TheKey Responsibilities for the Position are:
- Obtains patient historyand performs assessment via observation, interview and examination. Orders,performs and interprets diagnostic studies. Performs preventative healthassessments, screening, immunizations and care.
- Provides directtreatment and management of health conditions, including use of prescriptiveauthority and referral to other healthcare providers or community resources
- Provides counseling andeducation of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventativehealth and wellness, treatment options, and community resources. Provides carein the context of promoting age and culture-appropriate informed choices,shared decision-making and the right to self-determination.
- Provides inpatient and/oroutpatient care to include preoperative, intra-operative, and post-operativeservices, as well as critical care/intensive care medical management.
- Within scope of job,requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to workwith minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work ina fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

* Master's degree inphysician assistant studies
* Unrestricted licenseto practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado.
* Physician AssistantCertification (PA-C) issued by the National Commission for Certification ofPhysician Assistants (NCCPA) is required for hire and must be maintainedthroughout employment
* Unrestricted DrugEnforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medications commonlyprescribed in the course of practice.
* Eligible to provideservices reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare andMedicaid.

* The pay range for this full-timeposition is $$100,588- $143,769 annually. Pay isdependent on applicant's relevant experience. Aproductivity incentive may be offered for this position.
