The Staff Pharmacist will provide services, timely and efficiently, at appropriate levels to all patients and in all settings served by the department. The Staff Pharmacist will also perform tasks and duties as outlined in the Pharmacy Department?s Policy and Procedures and will be assigned additional administrative or clinically focused tasks, both basic and advanced, to be performed on an ongoing basis and in accordance with training and experience. Examples may include but are not limited to Aminoglycoside Dosing, Vancomycin Dosing, Renal Adjustments, IV to oral conversions, etc. The Staff Pharmacist will maintain clinical competencies through participation in educational and orientation programs. The Staff Pharmacist should also be able to provide advanced clinical expertise and education to departmental staff members, medical staff, nursing staff, other members of the health care provider team, patients and consumers.
Qualifications
Minimum Education Bachelors degree in Pharmacy - Required Doctorate degree is Pharmacy - Preferred
Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Licenses: Current Oklahoma state Pharmacist license
Minimum Work Experience Minimum of one year experience as a registered pharmacist in a hospital preferred ASHP-accredited residency preferred
