As a Nurse Tech you will provide direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of Psychiatric Care Unit Nursing Staff. You will also assists patients with activities of daily living, provide for personal care, comfort and assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of patients.

Below is our job description and minimum requirements to apply.
Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
?Makes rounds with outgoing shift; knows whereabouts of assigned patients.
?Makes rounds with oncoming shift to ensure the unit is left in good condition.
?Documentation meets current standards and policies.
?Provide daily socialization activities as scheduled, to specifically include daily Reality Orientation. Document and encourage patients to participate.
?Observes patients? behavior and mental and physical conditions Reports any changes and unusual incidents observed to supervising Nursing Staff
?Knowledgeable of sterile techniques, infection control procedures.
?Knowledgeable of environmental risks for suicide and response process to follow in in the event of a suicide.
?Participates in and contributes to Patients? Treatment Plan and Patient Care Conferences.
?Checks unit for adequate linen. Folds neatly and arranges linen in linen closet. Cleans linen cart. Provides clean linen and clothing. Makes beds. Minor housekeeping.
?Ensures an adequate stock of supplies and proper functioning of equipment.
Education:
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or equivalent, is required
?American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 90 days of hire or transfer.
?Handle With Care Behavior Management System (HWC) Certification required within 90 days of hire or transfer.
?Blood Glucose Monitoring Training Program Certification required within 90 days of hire or transfer.
