Summary: Position serves as a Portfolio Manager for Rex Health Ventures. Serves as the lead for development of investment strategy for Rex Health Ventures team and delivers strategic value to portfolio companies.
Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the Rex Health Ventures (RHV) portfolio, maximizing strategic value for both portfolio companies and the broader UNC Health organization.
Foster strong professional relationships with each portfolio company, ensuring timely tracking and effective communication of major updates, milestones, and critical items for company progress.
Collaborate with Managing Directors to identify and leverage internal opportunities for innovation, including existing pilots, strategic connections, new use cases, and / or new technology applications.
Manage any portfolio company support activities including but not limited to pilots, data requests, co-development, network introductions, and access to system expertise.
Develop and consistently grow a strong network of relationships within the healthcare ecosystem, both internally at UNC Health and externally with partner health systems.
Be well versed on system strategic initiatives to identify potential areas of investment or deeper investigation.
Drive new thesis category exploration and provide thought leadership through comprehensive market analysis reports. Highlight trends, strategies, competition, and other relevant inputs for organizational consideration.
Lead strategic fit due diligence focusing on operational alignment of any potential new or follow-on investment opportunities.
Regularly conduct strategic reviews with portfolio companies to assess progress, align objectives, and identify collaboration opportunities.
Champion and expand the organization?s media presence and public relations for RHV and portfolio company activities.

Professional Experience Requirements: ? Requires five (5) years of related experience. Must have prior healthcare operations knowledge. Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements: ? Skills must include strong communication, writing, presentation skills with ability to build and maintain strategic relationship network within healthcare system.
