GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Risk Manager plans, develops, and administers the system’s Risk Management Program for loss prevention and claims control according to federal, state, and local requirements to meet the needs of all units of the Florida Hospital – East Region

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Risk Management.

           Oversees the system for identification and analysis of loss or injury exposure. With the help of the Risk Management Associate,

           Maintains both mandatory and voluntary incident reporting systems for identifying and evaluating unit specific risk issues.

           Provides statistical analysis on areas of risk throughout the system for the purpose of identifying, evaluating, eliminating or reducing incidents in high risk areas.

           Maintains documentation on identified trends and sentinel events, with referral to the appropriate committee, manager, or individual for follow-up.  Monitors follow-up.

Location: AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway

Shift: Days, 8-5, with rotating weekday/weekend call

Rate: $75.57/HR

Duration: 13 weeks

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQURED:

·         Expertise with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access and Power Point required

·         Expertise with an Electronic Health Record/Electronic Medical Record required

·         Expertise in developing and presenting education materials and other presentations using Power Point application

·         Demonstrates analytical and organizational skills

·         Expertise and knowledge in working within the incident reporting program

·         Strong skills in teamwork and ability to effectively educate others.

·         Ability to build relationships, understand conflict resolution, and grievance management techniques.

·         Leadership qualities, strong communication and interpersonal

 

 

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

·         Competent in use of Cerner electronic medical record software.

·         Understanding of the Patient Safety Organization (PSO) Proce

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

            Associate degree

·           Minimum of an Associate Degree from an accredited school of Nursing upon hire (if applicable per facility requirements)
