SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Coordinates and oversees daily activities between the Operating Room (OR) and Sterile Processing to facilitate efficient case flow. Responsible for assisting in projects and process improvement initiatives. Promotes customer service and satisfaction through training, education, and resolution of staff and physician issues and concerns. Must maintain knowledge of cleaning, assembling, packaging and sterilizing of all instruments and equipment according to the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc. (CBSPD), the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), and the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) current standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
• Sterile Processing Technician Certification CBSPD/CRCST or Endoscope Reprocessor Certification CER/CFER required. 
• 2 years of related experience required.
