SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Working as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Penn State Health, you are the heart and backbone of patient care. We are committed to helping talented LPNs deepen their expertise and achieve their goals while still performing patient care including accurately recording vital signs, discussing health concerns, performing testing, administering injections, and assisting with procedures and documentation.
At Cocoa Outpatient Clinic, the LPN will perform clinical tasks for our adult population including but not limited to completing an intake for each patient appointment, obtaining vital signs, performing point of care testing, administering injections, assisting in prescription refills for patients, and answering patient portal messages. Adult patients are seen at this office for Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Addiction Medicine, Gender Affirming Care, Endocrinology and Nephrology.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Currently licensed to practice as a licensed practical nurse by state of employment or holds a multi state LPN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required prior to completion of orientation.
