The Histologist under the supervision of the Pathologists and Laboratory director or supervisor, perform all procedures within the section assigned.

Basic technical skills in histology.
Working knowledge of stains and handling solutions.
Operate centrifuge and tissue processor.
High school diploma or G.E.D. is required
Two (2) years college Chemistry / Biology desirable.
Two (2) years previous experience as a histologist desirable.
ASCP certification preferred
Basic computer skills required
