Required: 

• Experience with California’s prevention, harm reduction, recovery and/or substance use treatment system. 
• At least one year of experience scheduling and coordinating meetings and events with multiple stakeholders. 
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally, and in writing, with project participants, staff, and supervisors. 
• Working knowledge of data collection and interpretation of research findings. 
• Working knowledge of social determinants of health and health equity. 
• Detail-oriented with ability to review and assess data for completeness, accuracy, and internal consistency. 
• Ability to complete tasks in accordance with project protocols and deadlines. 
• Ability to conduct focused and detail-oriented tasks on screen for extensive periods of time. 
• Demonstrated cultural competence with skill in speaking and writing to persons of various social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds. 
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with project staff members and other stakeholders. 
• Strong organizational skills to coordinate project tasks as required. 
• Ability to learn quickly and think logically. 
• Willingness to travel (domestically), and work occasional evenings/weekends. 
• Valid driver’s license, dependable car, and insurance for attending meetings and conferences.

Preferred:

• B.A. /B.S. in Social Science, Public Health or related field, or equivalent experience (for example, equivalent work experience in this field). 
• Experience conducting data cleaning and statistical analysis using software packages (e.g., Excel, SPSS, STATA, R). 
• Experience in data collection, including interviewing, and web-based survey applications (e.g. Qualtrics). 
• Experience with literature reviews and summarizing/synthesizing complex journal level publications. 
• Bilingual (Spanish/English)
