JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a We are seeking a Nurse Manager for Duke South Durham Infusion to manage and coordinate patient care and personnel need in a DHIP Medicine Specialty Clinic; plan, develop, implement and evaluate ambulatory health care services, programs and activities.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage nursing services delivered within the clinic and ensure scope of practice compliance with nursing services
Identify clinical operational needs; manage appropriate level of equipment and supplies and monitors equipment maintenance.
Collaborate with Health Center Administrator in determining the fiscal requirements of the specific clinic; submit budgetary recommendations, including necessary nursing personnel and patient care materials necessary for the provision of care
Cultivate exemplary customer service throughout the organization; promote effective communication skills to include, but not limited to problem solving, assertiveness, and support for team members, feedback, active listening and conflict resolution..
Manage various personnel actions including, but not limited to hiring, orientation, performance appraisals, promotions and scheduling; and counsel and conduct formal discipline of clinical staff.
Develop, document, implement and monitor written policies and procedures reflective of the ambulatory health care site mission settlement and objectives. Manage specific clinic in absence of Health Care Administrator/Practice Manager; and be available on-call for emergencies involving the facility, staff members and patients.

Assess the environment and make recommendations to ensure optimal patient comfort, safety and compliance with various regulatory bodies (OSHA, JCAHO, Infection Control etc.).

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Work requires graduation from an accredited BSN program.
3+ years of RN experience required
2+ years of RN leadership experience required in an ambulatory setting.
Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.
JOB HOURS:
The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
