SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Family Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) functions as a member of a multidisciplinary heath care team to provide total primary care of patients in collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other health care professionals. Follows established standards, procedures, and practices, and gives specific patient care directions to nursing and other staff. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of employment 
• National Certification in State of employment or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in the State of employment 
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
