The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Palm Coast 60 Memorial Medical Parkway, Palm Coast, Florida 32164

The role you’ll contribute: The Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Manager is an advocate for the nursing professional development team and manages the activities and personnel in the NPD department to provide the development of clinical excellence in assigned areas through active participation in education, role development, collaborative partnerships, research/ evidence-based practice/ quality/performance improvement, onboarding/orientation, and competency management.

·       Financial Management – Understands health care economics, public policy, and finance as it pertains to the delivery of patient care.

·       Performance Improvement – Demonstrates familiarity with the performance improvement model of the organization.

·       Critical Thinking/Technology – Utilizes critical thinking skills in the performance of their duties.  Demonstrates and understanding of technology utilized in the organization.

·       Leadership and Clinical Practice Knowledge – Provides leadership for the effective and efficient operation of assigned unit.  Assures clinical practice is of the highest quality.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree in nursing

·       Minimum two (2) years in Nursing Professional Development role or previous clinical leadership experience

·       Current, valid Florida State of Nursing license as a registered professional nurse

Preferred qualifications: 

·       Experience in acute care hospital setting

·       Master’s degree in nursing or related field

·       Clinical or Leadership certification

·       Advanced Life Support Provider Certification, per specialty

·       ANCC Certification in Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC)
