The role you’ll contribute:
The Director of Network Access is a Division leader and collaborator responsible for implementing and managing a seamless patient access, navigation, and care transition model across the Great Lakes Region to create and achieve business growth, brand loyalty, network connectivity, network integrity, competitive advantage, market relevance and sustainability through the development and expansion of patient access and navigation across the GLR Integrated Delivery Network. This position is also responsible for the planning, launch and operational excellence of the first centralized contact center in the GLR Division of AdventHealth. This position reports to the Executive Director of Strategy and Integration and works directly with the operational leadership at AdventHealth Medical Group, Executive Leadership and Operational Leadership teams within the Great Lakes Region while collaborating and aligning with the corporate Consumer Experience Center (CxC). The position also collaborates with Great Lakes Region CEO's, CFO's, CNO's, Case Management, Physician Leaders, and Service Line Leaders, Legal & Compliance as well as key patient access/connection points, including but not limited to acute care, urgent care, express care, virtual care, imaging, lab, physical therapy, home care, home infusion and ambulatory surgery centers. Core duties include planning, management and leadership seamless flow of patients between the acute, non-acute, and post-acute environments within AdventHealth Greal Lakes Division network of care to 'make it easy' for patients, ensure delivery of a connected network of care, and increase consumer/patient loyalty. This includes optimizing patient access to our health care providers via multiple scheduling platforms, developing performance metrics and implementing processes for performance improvement. The Director's success is measured by the organization's ability to provide seamless patient access to our health care providers, increased use of internal and external resources and adoption of new proven technologies to increase efficiency and achieve performance metrics. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, ability to lead with influence, ability to solve complex problems, operate with a results-oriented, performance metrics mindset that is balanced with a passion for engaging with patients, team members, and the community in a meaningful and relational way while providing a high level of customer service.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Provides leadership and ongoing management of effective patient care navigation initiatives including third-party vendor management, internal resource management, performance metrics reporting, performance improvement processes and budget management.
Provides leadership, development and implementation of a centralized patient referral center aligned with the CxC and in accordance with the strategic imperatives for AdventHealth and business growth goals of the Great Lakes Region.
Identifies, develop, gain consensus, implement and lead financially viable business plans and organizational models related to new and existing programs relevant to AHMG employed management initiatives and external community provider groups in support of growth opportunities.
Develops well-defined and comprehensive strategic business plans that outline short and long-term growth objectives and detail strategic and tactical initiatives relevant to optimizing patient access to our health care providers.
Develops service level agreements and outcome measurement tools. Recruit, retain and grow talented and experienced call center agents and supervisors while managing performance and service level agreements.
Coordinates efforts with Operations, Information Technology and Systems, and Telecommunication administrators to maintain a dynamic referral center platform for the medical group.
In partnership with Executive, Physician and Administrative Leadership throughout AdventHealth; leads the integration of the Network Access Initiative in concert with AdventHealth’s mission, vision, values, service standards and strategic plan.
Collaborates effectively with ambulatory physician and operational leaders to ensure optimal utilization of provider time.
Regularly monitors and tracks department performance through development of a metrics-based dashboard and/or align with established metrics and reports and implement performance improvement measures, when necessary.
Provides monthly reporting and outcomes to Executives and Site Practice Administrators.
Utilizes external and internal benchmarks to focus on establishing and maintaining appropriate staffing levels, scheduling system efficiencies, and new scheduling platforms to ensure access and efficiency is maintained.
Develops and manages annual department budgets, collaborates with finance to build business unit ROI models.
Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by the Vice President.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·Master's Degree in Business Administration or Health Care Administration Required
·5 in healthcare, hospital operations, physician practice operations, patient flow/connectivity in a medical environment, or healthcare call center Required
·Hands on experience with fiscal management, performance tracking metrics, and developing and adhering to service level agreements.
·Strong management experience; effective at building, leading and managing a high performing team for results.
·Ability to lead with influence and collaborate with internal and external partners to improve patient care coordination.
·Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate ideas and outcomes effectively.
·Ability to synthesize complex information, develop business analytics and business strategy recommendations for growth opportunities or identify barriers to growth with recommended solutions.
·Ability to deploy, implement and measure effectiveness of a network integrity model and evaluate key performance indicators.
·Ability to deliver a high level of customer service to internal customers and external strategic partners.
·Experience in managing a diverse group of individuals.
·Strong project management experience/skills.
·General knowledge of computer hardware and software; working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
·Must be able to conduct themselves in a professional and responsible manner, hardworking and ethical.
