The role you’ll contribute: The Interventional Radiology (IR) System Manager is responsible for supporting the IR modality operations, including but not limited to, process flow, supply management, education and training. In addition, the IR system manager has overall responsibility for facilitating the development of clinical excellence in IR through the management of orientation, training, on-going staff development and evaluation of clinical practice for all levels of personnel served. The IR System Manager/Educator participates in the development of education programs and in-services. Coordinates orientation for all levels of new employees and serves as a mentor. Acts as a resource person, through acquired knowledge of current trends and practices, guides staff in their development of skills and capabilities. Participates in unit based and system wide performance improvement activities. Demonstrates knowledge of regulatory and national practice standards and incorporates them into clinical practice. Adheres and assures that staff adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Utilizes the hospital performance improvement process in reaching the goals of Imaging Services. Establishes and maintains ethical working relationships and good rapport with all referring physicians, hospital, and commercial agencies. Meets with customers, partners and team members to assure service levels are maintained. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all

EDUCATION CREATION: Utilizes principles of education and adult learning to provide opportunities and experiences for professional growth consistent with the Novice to Expert continuum. PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Responsible for assigned system clinical education/projects including, but not limited to, education for regulatory compliance and system priorities. Organizes, facilitates, and oversees quarterly education, including annual competencies for assigned job groups.
CAMPUS LIAISON: Serves as a liaison to all campuses for educational consultation, orientation of new campus educators and conducts campus rounds to oversee system and unit education. Assists campus educators with education initiatives as needed, including delegation of assigning education assistance duties to system educators.
Supply Management: Collaborates with the Radiologist and supports campus Directors by ensuring optimal service levels of goods, supplies, services, and equipment to meet all patient care requirements and the realization of cost-effective inventory investments.
Manages vendor relations assuring compliance to corporates/hospital policies
Supports and assists with data collection for Performance Improvements while understanding the department performance trends and established standards. Contributes and encourages others to contribute toward process improvement by serving on PI teams as assigned. Participates in department Glint satisfaction initiatives. Utilizes patient service recovery resources when appropriate.
Acts as a liaison between departments regarding order, cost center discrepancies, and various materials management issues
Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in healthcare related field Required
5 as an IR technologist or Imaging Nurse Required
Knowledge of Policies/Procedures/Protocols in IR, Procedural Imaging, and Imaging Nursing
Knowledge of equipment and vendors in IR and any relevant Procedural Imaging
Strong organization skills
Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds
Ability to mentor, enhance, and engage organizational talent
Ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely manner even under stressful conditions
Ability to handle stressful situations with anxious patients, employees, and customers
Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals
Ability to have critical conversations with leaders and staff
Ability to track and report key performance measures (KPIs) to diverse groups, consolidate data, and present results and executive summaries to leadership
Computer skills in word processing and Email such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (Preferred)
Knowledge of PACS and associated equipment (Preferred)
ARRT Radiography Certification and State License - General Radiographer Required or
RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure Required
CI - Cardiac Interventional Preferred
(VI) or Cardio Vascular Imaging - Vascular Imaging Preferred
(CV) - ARDMS or ARRT - Cardiovascular Preferred
