Serves as the Geisinger College of Health Sciences leader overseeing the Health Systems Science Collaborative in the Center for Faculty and Professional Development. We are seeking an academic leader interested in leading and advancing the Health System Science Collaborative aimed at advancing healthcare through a combination of education, research, and collaborative partnerships that add value to the Geisinger system. Through knowledge, resources, and mentorship, the collaborative will develop healthcare professionals and researchers who are better prepared to face the health challenges of the future and help diverse communities thrive. This role will ensure collaborative partnerships that benefit the clinical learning environment as well as the academic productivity of Geisinger. This is a part time role that will partially support a faculty member who is additionally doing clinical, education, research, or administrative work
Job Duties
Develops and delivers a unique curriculum across the continuum that integrates health systems science, preparing healthcare professionals to meet the needs of diverse populations and adapt to an evolving healthcare landscape.
Develops and delivers robust resources to support a foundational understanding of health system science across the health system including mentorship and support.
Conducts and supports through collaborative partnerships impactful research that leverages Geisinger's strengths and priorities, such as data and genomics, to improve health outcomes and promote health equity.
Collaborates with community leaders and health systems to enhance educational programs and address local health needs.
Fosters the next generation of healthcare leaders through comprehensive training and professional development opportunities.
Focuses knowledge and initiatives on reducing health disparities and improving access to quality care for all communities.
Collaborates and supports the operational leadership team of the Center for Faculty and Professional Development with the budget, staff, program data and administrative functions
Represents Geisinger and the Health System Science Collaborative to a variety of external organizations

Position Details
Additional Requirements:
Experience with health professions education.
Demonstrated academic experience in one or more of the following domains: community and population health, health care and social systems, patient safety, quality improvement, delivery system science, implementation science, inquiry, evidence-based practice.
Demonstrated experiences in curriculum design and development, evaluation, and assessment.
Demonstrated strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and diversity.
Demonstrated strong collaboration and communication skills.
