DEPARTMENT SUMMARY: St. Charles Health Systems Information Technology (IT) Team provides design, development, security, and support to a broad spectrum of computer hardware and software components, all working together for the benefit of departments throughout St. Charles. We partner with our customers to best leverage various technologies to achieve the best patient outcomes possible by implementing new hardware and software solutions, upgrading existing environments, protecting the data we store, and integrating solutions to achieve a seamless experience.
POSITION OVERVIEW: The Director of Cloud and Network Infrastructure leads transformative initiatives across our organization's technology landscape. Reporting to the Senior Director of Business Transformation, this position is responsible for overseeing servers, cloud and network infrastructure, in addition to other technology systems. This position directly manages caregivers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
Strategic Leadership:
Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for technology business transformation initiatives, aligning them with the organizations overall goals and mission.
Technology Infrastructure Oversight:
Oversee servers, cloud infrastructure, and technology systems to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security.
Technology Business Process Optimization:
Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation, leveraging technology to drive business efficiency and effectiveness.
Change Management:
Implement effective change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of new technologies and processes across the organization.
Vendor Management:
Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers to ensure quality delivery of services and solutions.
Ensure technical requirements and tasks are understood, clearly communicated, and executed on time.
Update technical and interface project plans, technical trackers, and other work plans.
Lead core project discussions and decisions, maintaining communication between internal teams as needed.
Obtain and manage third party licenses as needed.
Infrastructure Maintenance:
Direct production and non-production hardware and software support for the Epic infrastructure including servers, network, storage, backup, operating systems, virtualization platforms, and desktop devices.
Track technical integration issues and coordinate issue resolution.
Direct infrastructure capacity planning and routine monitoring activities. Ensure issues are mitigated.
Collaborate with teams to develop, document, and test downtime and recovery processes.
Budget Management:
Collaborate with leadership to develop and manage the technology budget, optimizing resource allocation while ensuring financial sustainability.
Team Leadership and Development:
Recruit, hire, coach, and develop a high-performing team of technology professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Compliance:
Monitor and ensure all direct reports are current with compliance and safety requirements.Implement and manage all organizational safety directives and goals.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Collaborate with teams to review processes and identify/implement opportunities for improvements, applying Lean principles, concepts, and tools.

May perform additional duties of similar complexity within the organization, as required or assigned.
EDUCATION
Required: Bachelors degree in related field or ability to obtain Bachelors degree within 36 months of hire.
Preferred: Masters degree in related field.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
Required: Relevant certification within 12 months of hire (ERP certification, ITIL certification, or other certification relevant to the role).
Preferred: N/A
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Minimum seven (7) years of related experience overseeing servers, cloud infrastructure, and technology systems. Minimum two (2) years of leadership experience.
Preferred: Seven (7) or more years of related experience in the healthcare industry.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to perform the job safely.

Must be able to travel to business functions/trainings/meetings and all SCHS worksites.
