Supervisor, Patient Accounting
The Patient Accounting Supervisor supervises and coordinates all patient accounting activities and staff in accordance with DOH, Federal, State and hospital policies.RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises day-to-day activities of patient accounting staff. Ensures daily electronic/paper billing submission to appropriate payer and monitors follow up activity on open accounts receivable on all Outpatient Commercial/HMO, Comp and No Fault. Provides coverage for other department management to ensure office continuity in their absence. Develops departmental goals. Maintains necessary records including attendance and reports to quantify the quality and timeliness of staff efforts.
