The Care Management NurseEducatorworks with the Care Management Director to facilitate quality improvement initiatives in the practice and learning environment to assist with staff and department development. Is responsible for department quality metric reports to demonstrate effectiveness of programs and performance in accordance with regulatory standards and best practice with aim to improve patient outcomes.CM Nurse Educator collaboratively participates and coordinates the implementation of educational programs to orient, educate, and coach the Care Management Department team in accordance with standards, regulations, and best practice.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and local managed care regulations, prior experience in Managed Care setting preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive and sustain change.
Knowledge or experience in clinical quality assurance, auditing, compliance, education of clinical staff, clinical documentation improvement.
Ability to establish effective working relationships among staff, physicians, and patients/families. Demonstrates an ability to communicate effectively and express ideas clearly; actively listens and always follows appropriate channels of communications.
Demonstrated leadership ability.
Proficient computer skills and knowledge required to understand, guide, and support educational system processes, including EMR software, Allscripts, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.
Ability to plan, organize, implement, and evaluate educational programs and processes
Detail-oriented and able to operate independently and as part of a team
Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects and objectives
Ability to demonstrate teaching/learning strategies utilizing variety of teaching strategies and available teaching resources.
Required:
Active California RN license
Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree
Five or more years’ clinical experience in acute hospital setting
Experience as Charge Nurse/Preceptor
Experience as Case Manager
Preferred:
Master’s level Degree, Nursing, Education, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field.
ACM or CCM Certification or willingness to obtain within 1 year upon hire
Experience in quality, performance improvement, education or a directly related field.
