Financial Analyst III
This role will be supporting all financial aspects for key operational service lines at Duke Health. The responsibilities for this position include planning, developing and coordinating the preparation of financial analyses and reports including but not limited to; fiscal year budgets, monthly financial statements, statistical reports, cost analyses, month-end close, and hospital space planning (Web Central). Other functions include assisting with the American Hospital Association Survey, the State Hospital License renewal application, releasing SAP purchase requisitions, and performing year-end inventories. Finally, this position is expected to perform complex and specialized deliverables assigned to the service lines it supports, take a lead role in serving as a primary contact for operational leadership, and advising them of their financial position. This position is vital for the integrity and functionality of the Finance Department and the operational areas it supports.
Required Qualifications at this Level
Education
Work requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field. CPA is desirable.
Experience
Work requires a minimum of six years experience in financial management, cost accounting or a field directly related to specialized area of assignment.
