Meritas Health is hiring Patient Care Assistants to join our Gashland team! What does a Patient Care Assistant do? The Patient Care Assistant is responsible for ensuring efficient flow of patients through the practice by monitoring physician schedules, placing patients in exam rooms, starting office visit notes as patients arrive, and updating patient charts with medications, vital signs, allergies, etc. prior to seeing the physician. What does a typical day on the job look like? Obtains and records patients vital signs, recent hospitalizations/tests, obtains pharmacy information, and other updated health information prior to the patient seeing the physician. Doc
