GI Technician
SUMMARY: Responsible to the Nursing Director and under the direction of RN/Charge Nurse and Physician, will assist in delivery of direct care to the patient experiencing elective or emergent endoscopic procedural intervention. Primary functions are to assist with endoscopic procedures in the appropriate healthcare setting and proper care, operation, reprocessing, and maintenance of endoscopic equipment and supplies. EXPERIENCE: GI Tech, 1-2 years, or position related experience preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS: Knowledge of infection prevention guidelines, endoscopic instrumentation, and high-level disinfection reprocessing preferred. OTHER: Basic computer skills. LICENSE/CERT: Required: BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association) Preferred: CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) EDUC
