Overview
Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Development, the Database Administrator is responsible for the management, accuracy and ownership of the Raiser's Edge fundraising database. Tasks include entering and maintaining all constituent records, recording and acknowledging all gifts, preparing mailing and invitation lists, and providing timely reports to all staff. Responsible for donor recognition in the Annual Report and on Donor Walls.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the management and oversight of the Raiser's Edge database. Acts as Database Administrator by ensuring donor database integrity and consistency through the development and enforcement of policies and procedures. Responsible for entering all new constituents and maintaining accurate donor records including mailing/emailing information, salutations, relationships, contact information, special requests, actions and notes. Responsible for recording obituaries and providing sympathy cards to family members. Provides back up support for gift entry and donor acknowledgement. Develops queries and exports for mailing and invitation lists, fundraising appeals and other information needed to support the work of the Foundation Development Team. Run monthly reports to provide accurate detail on the fundraising and event activities of the Foundation. Provide reports as requested and needed to support the Development Team's work. Responsible for understanding and managing prospect research screening and providing prospect research on constituents to the Development Team. Manages the screening of Grateful Patients and other constituents on a daily basis providing reports to Development Team, including physician champion reports and daily census. Responsible for training staff on the ways to use and enter appropriate information in the database. Provides ongoing training and support to the Foundation's staff and key volunteers. Develop dashboards with giving and event information providing a snapshot picture for Development Team members. Maintains a high degree of motivation and superior work ethic consistent with the philosophy of the Foundation and contributing to the team effort. Each team member has a responsibility to support the fundraising mission of the Foundation thru attendance of events, solicitation of individual gifts and corporate sponsorships, and ongoing stewardship of donors. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Development and Foundation President.
Qualifications
Three or more years of database experience, preferably with Raiser's Edge. Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
Expertise with Crystal Reports preferred.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
Exercises initiative and independent judgment. Project oriented and able to work with minimal supervision. Attention to detail.
Strong skills in word processing applications, internet searching, writing and communication are required.
