The Medication Safety Coordinator shall work with the Pharmacy team and shall be responsible for ensuring the department and organization follows all aspects of medication management, ensuring medication safety in compliance with all regulatory laws, statues and accreditation organization initiatives. Current practices shall be continually evaluated and monitored to ensure optimal practice. He/she shall lead changes when appropriate. He/she shall be well versed in evidence-based literature or from own data striving for best practice and patient safety.
