Under the supervision and direction of the Clinical Director, the Medical Scribe will provide scribe support to physicians with various aspects of patient care. You will assist in the recording of outpatient medical records under the supervision of the physician. Prior to a patient encounter, you will be asked to participate in reviewing patient charts, collecting available information regarding prior treatments, and reviewing pre-screening questionnaires. Duties include, but are not limited to, scheduling follow up appointments, entering patient orders and referrals, reviewing and printing of the patient after visit summary. You must multi-task between accurate documentation and administrative duties as indicated. You will be responsible for reviewing information with the physician at the completion of each documented outpatient visit to confirm accurate reporting. The Medical Scribe may also participate in monitoring the completion of provider medical record documentation to assess for chart completeness and will send incomplete charts back to appropriate providers as needed. You may also be asked to manage a clinical data registry, which involves contacting patients, collecting patient reported outcomes, data entry, analyzing data, and generating reports. You will work in close association with providers assigned to the department and is a part of the clinical team. You must be able to perform the above duties, either virtually or in person at the UCLA Westwood offices.
Salary Range: $22.85 - $32.03/Hourly

Working knowledge of PC including the following software: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows.
Preferred:
Previous experience with electronic medical records software such as EPIC, etc.
Knowledge of E&M codes and the level of documentation necessary for each billing level.
