This role will be accountable for ensuring the success of a program that involves a group of related projects, subprograms, and program activities. This role will also be accountable for building and maintaining exceptional relationships with clients, vendors, and other departments to help collectively further BSWH's strategic initiatives. There will be a heavy emphasis on problem solving capabilities (e.g. gather market research on best practice, identify root cause behind issues, link with industry leaders to validate assumptions, right-to-left thinking). They are also expected to mentor and directly manage Program Managers, Team Leads, and other project resources to aid in the professional development and perform HR duties where appropriate.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Manages pillar portfolio management (program and project management as dictated by business needs)
Accountable for management, development and overall mentorship of MCs assigned to pillar
Provide constructive feedback to MC's as needed; assist MC with project escalations and problem solving as needed
Drives long term planning and strategic pillar vision creation for pillar improvements and strategies, with oversight from VP as needed
Establishes pillar budget and tracks to ensure budget is on track and aligned with strategic goals
Knowledge of interdependencies of healthcare landscape and its influence on portfolio
Conducts all human resources related activities, inclusive of interviews, supervision, performance evaluations, development, coaching, feedback, reward and recognition, scheduling, leaves, policy and procedure admin, etc.
Partners with and leads client teams towards the identification of problems/opportunities from a Digital Innovation perspective
Establishes a process for team-based structuring and defining of problems
Earnestly maintains a pulse on digital disruption / innovation in healthcare
Establishes external relationships with other thought leaders in Digital Health
Provides advice or suggestions for improvements that meet customer and digital health goals
Presents and explains findings to leadership team and individuals
Utilizes both traditional and modern assessment tools, such as interviews, surveys, and evaluations to arrive at hypothesis and conclusions
