PIH Health is seeking a Director of Quality & Performance Excellence to join our team at the Good Samaritan Hospital. This full-time, regular/at-will position is pivotal in advancing our mission to deliver outstanding healthcare services to our community. The Director will lead the development and implementation of quality and patient safety strategies across the hospital, ensuring alignment with all licensure, accreditation, and certification requirements. The role demands a collaborative approach, working closely with Medical Staff, hospital Accreditation, and Risk Management to enhance patient care and safety. The successful candidate will be a transformational leader, adept at process improvement and change management, utilizing Lean methodologies to drive performance excellence and demonstrate tangible ROI. As part of a nationally recognized healthcare network, the Director will contribute to our reputation for quality care and patient experience, upholding our values and commitment to serving the diverse needs of the Los Angeles County, Orange County, and San Gabriel Valley region. No travel is required for this position, which offers a salary range of $59.89 to $98.91 per hour, reflective of the role's management level within our mission-driven organization.
Analytical skills and working knowledge of CIHQ, Title 22, CMS Conditions of Participation, CMA standards, and other regulatory agency requirements
Experience in survey preparation, process, and continuous readiness; developing corrective action plans in response to survey findings
Strong knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement tools and techniques
Effective written/oral communication and presentation skills
Exceptional leadership with relationship building, communication, and interpersonal skills; analytical and problem-solving skills with well-developed business acumen
Successful experience leading broad-scale change management and process improvement efforts
Developing dynamic, constructive working relationships and partnerships with operational and physician partners
Willingness to challenge the 'status quo'
Excellent interpersonal skills (negotiation, listening, and communication skills) characterized by effective interactions with a diverse range of internal and external constituents, stakeholders, and audiences

Master’s degree required
A minimum of five years of experience in the health care industry with a background in operations and performance improvement
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma required
Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in a hospital setting with involvement with the tools and processes of continuous quality improvement
Three to five years clinical experience are required
