This position serves as Without Compensation Research Assistant within the Office of Research and Development (ORD). The VA Research Program strives to promote Veteran-centered care to improve patient experiences and outcomes across VA healthcare and community settings, and to advance value-driven care by providing Veterans the highest quality care at the lowest financial burden. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: Experience: You must possess general experience in (1) filing subject charts, obtaining informed consent from subjects, scheduling visits for study participants, screening subjects for eligibility criteria, and performing neuropsychological testing of study participants, or (2) Experience that provides a familiarity with collecting clinical information and processes of entering clinical information from interviews with study participants, obtaining informed consent from subjects, and administering neuropsychological tests to study participants. AND, Education: You must possess a bachelor or graduate degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to the medical field, health sciences, or allied sciences. The Grand Junction VA Medical Center services those who serve our country providing critical medical services including acute and chronic inpatient and outpatient care. The facility consists of 53-bed capabilities for surgical procedures, specialty care, psychiatric in/outpatient services, as well as a Community Living Center, and social programs and services. The service area encompasses western Colorado and eastern Utah regions and includes the primary VAMC plus four satellite clinics.
