MaineHealth Franklin Hospital is seeking a full time Family Medicine Physician - Family Medicine Residency Program Director to provide care at our office-based Primary Care Family Medicine Practice located in Farmington/Livermore Falls, Maine.
This non-OB, Outpatient Family Medicine Practice is located on the Franklin Hospital campus and services include physical exams, women’s health exams, sick visits, well-child visits, school and sports physicals and management of chronic health conditions. Blood work and lab services are on site, and inpatient care is at Franklin Hospital. The practice includes a skilled licensed clinical social worker to help facilitate behavioral health needs for their patients, allowing the entire health care team to work collaboratively to meet the needs of patients in the community. Come be a part of our dynamic team of providers, which includes three family medicine physicians, two physician assistants, and a care support nurse for chronic disease education working with exceptional support staff. Call requirements are approximately 1:8 for phone call with no rounding expectations inpatient or in nursing facilities.
The position would serve as core faculty for the Tufts University Medical School program with students in the longitudinal integrated curriculum assigned to Franklin Hospital. The physician would work with leaders in graduate medical education at Maine Medical Center and MaineHealth to develop curriculum for residents in family medicine with a plan to help develop a future Family Medicine Residency here at Franklin Hospital. Candidates would be eligible to apply for the MaineHealth Institute for Teaching Excellence (MITE) scholars program for mentored support for teaching excellence. Qualifications:
MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
Minimum three years of clinical experience after completion of a residency in Family Medicine.
Experience with Medical Education and/or experience with scholarly activity.
Demonstrates leadership qualities including being open-minded, flexible, adaptable.
Enthusiasm for medical education leadership and teaching.
