The Department of Medicine is looking to hire an experienced Project Director responsible for the comprehensive planning, development, and execution of all operational activities to achieve the program's mission and goals. Key duties include producing all deliverables, strategic planning and coordination, effective communication, staff supervision, training, financial management, and grant writing. This role requires the ability to plan and execute program activities, work independently and collaboratively with external partners in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, communicate effectively, supervise team members, and ensure compliance with UCLA, state, and federal regulations.
Annual range: $83,800-$179,400
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or 5-7 years of experience.
- Ability to work independently and also have interpersonal skills to work with teams, provide training, and supervise staff 1+ years' experience of supervising laboratory personnel and operations
- Exceptional writing skills to produce wide range of documents and deliverables
- Experience communicating effectively and professionally and working with a variety of internal and external partners, including UCLA administrators, outside funders, policy makers and community representatives
- Strong organizational skills to successfully work on and track complex programs involving short deadlines and multiple tasks, in coordination with multiple teams to achieve program/project mission and goals
- Working knowledge of program/project development, evaluation, creating datasets, financial management and reporting, research principles including CITI training, grant writing and proposal submission, University procedures and policies, program/project related federal and state regulations
- Ability to seek out and learn new policies, procedures, and software to advance the mission of the program/project
- Ability to train new program/project managers and other staff within and external to the unit
Preferred:
Master's degree or 3-5 years of experience
