SALARY:
$45,300 to $56,600+ per year , the posted salary range represents the minimum to the midpoint within RVU’s compensation plan. RVU’s full compensation structure provides a minimum to a maximum range. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.

Responsibilities
Teach students about academic self-awareness and understanding of individual learning preferences through multiple learning assessments, including the Learning and Study Strategies Inventory and VARK Learning Preferences.
Counsel students in utilizing optimal academic skills to meet the rigors of medical education, including study skills, test taking strategies, time management, note-taking, strategic learning techniques, and more.
In partnership with the Director of Disability Support services, serve as in-person liaison for Colorado students regarding ADA accommodations, helping communicate, implement, and create accommodations plans in conjunction with the Director of Disability Support Services.
Meet regularly with the Director of Disability Support Services to understand how to best support her department and needs.
Meet with students who have failed coursework or specific exams to diagnose academic issues and develop individualized strategies and resources for each student.
Create a remediation plan and track progress for students placed on academic warning or probation.
Research, develop and teach various success skills trainings, workshops, seminars, panel discussions, and online resources (e.g. e-mail, MS Teams, videos,, etc.).
Assess student learning through academic advisement by creating Student Learning Outcomes (SLO’s) and regularly measure student learning from trainings provided.
Maintain confidential advising records following FERPA guidelines, track student progress and performance, record appointment session details and follow-up goals, spreadsheets, tracking documents, and monthly reports in appropriate database.
Deliver information about examination preparation resources and develop individualized study strategies and plans for licensure exams.
Provide assistance and support services for diverse learners, including students in need of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Perform ongoing assistance with Student Affairs events and activities.
Participate in regular collaboration meetings with Student Affairs team across campuses.
Have a clear understanding of all university and college academic policies; and work on a daily basis with other entities across campus.
Help students navigate institutional policies and procedures.
Annually review the policies to ensure RVU is complying with federal laws regarding ADA and meeting students needs.
Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs.
