We are seeking Technician in our Histology laboratory to join the LabCorp team! This unique opportunity is located in RTP, NC alongside highly trained staff with the latest technology. Our services are performed with the utmost care, expertise, integrity and respect for the patient.

The schedule for this position will be: 3rd Shift, Sunday-Thursday 10:00pm-6:30am

Job Responsibilities:

• Support maintenance of instruments and reagent changes
• Retrieve specimens from accessioning and transfer to laboratory
• Carry out collating of stained slides/cases
• Deliver cases to the pathologists
• Potentially learn embedding

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Medical Technology with no additional experience required OR Associates degree in chemical, physical or biological science and with 3 months of supervised training or experience in clinical lab testing.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plus
• High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
• Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business need
