Job Description

Director of Software Engineering

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Software Engineering to join our team, reporting to the Senior Director of Software Engineering. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Architectural squad and key stakeholders to lead software development teams, implementing best practices and toolsets tailored to the Scaled Agile Framework. If you are passionate about shaping the technology landscape, driving innovation, and developing the talents of engineers within high-performing agile teams, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Role Overview:

• Propel MSK's digital transformation by executing an SDLC strategy aligned with the CDO's vision.
• Collaborate and provide direction for all managers and team leads to deliver effective, usable, reliable, and secure digital solutions internally developed according to advanced industry design and optimal programming methods.
• Focus teams on using microservices and APIs plus the expansion of hybrid cloud and mobile app efforts to increase efficiency and agility.
• Select tools and leverage new services needed to fully automate continuous integration/Contingency Delivery CI/CD pipelines.
• Run all infrastructure, upgrades, enhancements, and planning of complex initiatives and budgets.

Key Qualifications:

• 10+ years of IT leadership; managing and mentoring diverse technical teams in the development of web and mobile applications.
• Experience with the latest software development technologies, AWS & Azure Cloud Platforms, and knowledge of SAFe preferred

• Experience in setting and achieving strategic goals for the engineering department.

• Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Reporting to the Senior Director, Software Engineering
• Hybrid Schedule: Wednesdays & Thursdays onsite

Pay Range: $193,800.00-$329,500.00
