Our entire organization has carefully evaluated and standardized these roles to ensure opportunities to practice at top of your license and be a strong contributor. We've also established a career framework for CNAs and Unit Secretaries with clear paths to encourage career development into nursing and a wide range of roles.

As an CNA you will provide direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a RN and in accordance with policies and procedures. You will assists the healthcare team in coordinating, prioritizing and communicating patient, physician and staff needs.

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified CNA/ Nursing Secretary candidates will need the following:

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Basic computer skills
• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program 
• Current state CNA license for applicable state of employment
• Six months previous CNA experience, preferred
• Previous nursing unit secretary or medical office experience, preferred

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Penrose-St. Francis Health Services is a full-service, 712-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs comprised of Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and St Francis Hospital - Interquest. St. Francis Hospital opened in 2008 to keep pace with the growing needs of the Colorado Springs' community on the north side of the city. St. Francis Hospital features 340-beds and offers a modern Birth Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Cancer Center, Emergency Department, Level III Trauma Center, Imaging Services, Acute Inpatient Rehab, Surgical Services and Critical Care Unit. 

It also serves as southern Colorado's home base for the Flight For Life® Colorado air medical transport service.
