IU Health Ball Memorial Physicians has an opportunity for a Certified Nurse Midwife or Nurse Practitioner to join our OBGYN team in Muncie, IN!

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate provider to join our growing team. We provide flexibility in setting your scheduled workdays and appointment templates. Our APPs work very closely with one another and our MDs, so that they feel supported at all times. For 2022-2023, U.S. News and World Report has ranked IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital as one of the Best Maternity Hospitals.

Details:

• Full time, Day Shift 
  • 4 10's per week 
  • No weekends or call 
• 100% Outpatient, practicing at Ball Memorial Obstetrics and Gynecology clinic
• Join a collaborative team of 5 physicians and 5 APPs

Responsibilities: 

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' reproductive health, including medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests.
• Provide preventive care, health education, and counseling on contraception, family planning, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and other women's health issues.
• Perform routine gynecological examinations, including Pap smears, breast exams, and pelvic exams.
• Procedural requirements include IUD insertion and removal, Nexplanon insertion and removal, and pessaries. 
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as ultrasound, blood tests, and genetic screenings.
• Diagnose and treat common gynecological conditions, such as menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, and menopause-related symptoms.
• Manage prenatal care for pregnant patients, including prenatal screenings, monitoring fetal development, and educating patients about pregnancy nutrition and self-care.
• Provide postpartum care, including lactation support, newborn care education, and monitoring maternal recovery.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, gynecologists, midwives, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree required 
• CNM, FNP or WHNP certification required 
• Must be BE/BC 
• At least 2 years of experience as an APP preferred 
• Strong L&D or OBGYN RN background required 
• Successful candidates will have critical thinking skills, strong communication, provide quality care and be a team player
