The Medical Office Manager is responsible for operational management and effective utilization of clinic resources and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.

Leads the practice by example with regard to work ethic, positive communication, effective leadership, ethical standards and achievement of results.
Serve as primary point of contact for all staff and external contacts, related to patient care, patient flow and clinical standards, policies and procedures.
Keeps current with principles, practices, regulations and standards that apply to healthcare, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and laws.
Performs quality assurance studies and assists with implementation of QA/QI initiatives.
Assists in the development of quality standards and provides assistance in measuring and reporting quality improvements, including audits and accountability.
Develops an effective partnership with all physicians and management.
Participates in the selection, employment, development, performance reviews, and management of employees.
Works together with the Director of Physician Services for optimization of practice performance including goal setting, staff performance, asset utilization and ongoing professional development.
Coordinates staff scheduling, educational/development activities, and performance evaluations.
Responsible for orientation and training of new staff/students as necessary.
Provide training, feedback and assistance to staff relating to impacted processes, including demographic and insurance entry/information, patient payment collection, eligibility verification, authorizations and provider credentialing.
Oversee and perform bank/payment reconciliation/balance processes, as well as any clinic deposit and case reconciliation processes.
Maintain a complete and systematic set of records of business transactions. Balance books and prepare reports to show receipts, expenditures, accounts payable, and various other items.
Maintains accurate and continued documentation. Documentation meets current standards and policies.
Performs other reasonably related job duties as assigned or requested, within scope of practice.
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or equivalent, is required.
Bachelor's Degree in related field, required. Experience may be accepted in lieu of a college degree.

·Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job, especially with regard to activities impacting patient or employee safety or security. Additional languages preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a medical clinic / hospital setting, preferred.
