DescriptionSummary:Provides primary care to a designated group of patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Assists in the collection of patient data used to determine nursing needs of the patient. Works with other disciplines to ensure a collaborative approach to the care of the patient. A9 Trauma Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is a 27-bed intermediate care unit with an emphasis on the neurological, thoracic, abdominal, and orthopedic trauma patient. In addition, A9 PCU is the designated stroke overflow unit for CHRISTUS Spohn. As a PCU, A9 registered nurses hold BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certificates and are required to hold multiple advanced competencies to include the administration of anti-arrhythmic drips, the management o
