The strongest candidates will be very strong in one of the themes rather than less strong in both themes. Applicants should indicate which theme they focus on in the cover letter. The successful candidate will be able to teach and mentor students in Physiological Psychology as well as in their specific expertise. The successful candidate will also be able to supervise undergraduate research assistants and honors students as well as master’s students in their area of expertise. 

The department prioritizes rigorous scholarship, excellent teaching, and strong methodological skills and seeks a colleague who is committed to the Teacher-Scholar model. The successful candidate will teach courses in their area(s) of expertise as well as more general courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, conduct programmatic research, supervise undergraduate and graduate student research, and be committed to diversity and inclusion as core values. Applicants should plan to have received their PhD by July 1, 2025 to be considered for this position.
