We are seeking an individual to join the Labcorp team in an entry level Technician position in our Histology laboratory! This unique opportunity is located in RTP, NC alongside highly trained staff with the latest technology. Our services are performed with the utmost care, expertise, integrity and respect for the patient.

The schedule for this position will be: Days/1st shift, Monday - Friday, 10:00 am - 6:30 pm.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support maintenance of instruments and reagent changes

• Retrieve specimens from accessioning and transfer to laboratory

• Carry out collating of stained slides/cases

• Deliver cases to the pathologists

• Potentially learn embedding

Requirements:

• Associates degree in Medical Technology with no additional experience required OR Associates degree in chemical, physical or biological science with 3 months of supervised training or experience in a clinical lab testing.

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

• Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plus

• High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills

• Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen

• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business need
