The role you’ll contribute:
Supervises therapists to ensure all treatments comply with general clinical standards and requirements.

•Provides clinical guidance and monitors the performance of the licensed and unlicensed rehab staff •Assists with corrective action plans and annual performance reviews for rehab staff •Assists in supervision of occupational/physical/speech therapists to ensure all treatments comply with general clinical standards and requirements •Assists in Interviews, hires and orients clinical staff, completes clinical competencies with new hires and each clinical staff member prior to annual review. Completes clinical staff assessments. Approves clinical staff continuing education requests and forwards to clinical management team. Coordinates in-services by clinical staff and vendors. Actively serves as a mentor or assigns a mentor from the team to new graduates •Engages in promoting evidence-based standards of care and lifelong learning through autonomous and collaborative participation in research, journal club/reviews, teaching/mentoring/clinical instructor, and/or clinical practice education within a peer group •Assists in daily operations including active involvement in clinical and service rounding, develops and delivers clinical content at staff meetings. Conducts staff meetings and completes management reports as needed. Investigates, responds to, and resolves complaints independently. Is available as a clinical resource for physicians, patients, leadership and staff. Escalates issues, as appropriate, to the manager or senior management team for resolution •Determines licensed and unlicensed schedules to best meet the patients' needs and performs schedule consolidation on a daily basis to facilitate meeting plan of •Meets productivity standard as defined by department •Attends department meetings and education as required •Practices principles of professional development and performance by maintaining clinical knowledge, using best and/or evidence-based practices, and serving as a clinical instructor •May assist when available to market therapy programs in the hospital and community •As required, assists with patient care, within scope of practice, following PT, OT, or SLP staff job description 'Duties and Responsibilities' sections •Willingly adjust and adapt to changes in patient census by altering working hours to assist in other centers/ programs as needed/ approved and observed by manager •Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED: •Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office •Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 1 years experience •One year of experience in a clinical setting
PREFERRED: •Three years of management experience
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED: • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert • Occupational Therapist
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION: Please be advised that all licenses and certifications listed are not required. If you only have one or some of those listed, you may still be eligible for this position. REQUIRED: •Licensed in applicable state as an Occupational Therapist •Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES •Supervises the Rehabilitation staff
