The Manager 2, Data Protection Architect, will independently perform Data Protection engineering activities of building, configuring, troubleshooting, integrating and administering Data Protection technologies aligned to security standards and best practices. This colleague will support structured and unstructured scanning tools, either directly or through an MSSP, and will be accountable for ensuring the success of an application portfolio that involves a group of related projects, applications, and IS delivery oversight. This role will also be accountable for building and maintaining exceptional relationships with service line leaders, vendors and other departments to help collectively further BSWH's strategic initiatives.
SALARY: The pay range for this position is $56.02/hour ($116,521/year) for entry-level qualifications - $100.75/hour ($209,560/year) for highly experienced candidates. The specific rate will depend upon the successful candidate's specific qualifications and prior experience.
BONUS: Eligible for an annual bonus up to 5%
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
As a senior leader of the security team, held accountable for the day-to-day operational activities of IT that includes Portfolio Management, stakeholder and customer relationships and IS delivery oversight of the managed services vendors as it relates to data protection
Advise and assist in configuration oversight of systems/solutions to ensure corporate security and privacy controls are in place across the enterprise database/storage and email ecosystems.
Partner with Privacy team to ensure technology adapts to changing policy and data protection regulatory requirements.
Proactively monitor output of data structured scanning technology to ensure effective operation and respond to trouble tickets/events following standard operating procedure.
Provide independent analysis/Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of issues, develop and test solutions, present problem and solution recommendations to management for approval/prioritization.
Generate and publish data protection technology performance key performance and risk indicators.
Identify trends and make recommendation for improvement/tuning/configuration changes.
Identify, develop and document configuration/design improvements/optimization for supporting continuous engineering and system performance improvement.
Maintain and refine documentation to ensure "evergreen state"
Design and maintain standard operation procedure, run books and topology/data flow drawings for structured data scanning technology solution
Generate and publish data protection technology performance metrics

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years of cyber security experience working with databases and in cloud-based data hosting environments
Data privacy fundamentals (familiarity with Data Privacy Laws and Regulations, Understanding of Personal Information (PI) protection, Basic understanding of Privacy Breach reporting/impact analysis
Cyber Security Fundamentals (Familiarity with key concepts of Vulnerability Management, Network Security/Secure Transmission Management, Data Loss Prevention, Identity Access Management, Threat Intelligence, Penetration testing, IT Risk Management)
Ability to generate and publish data protection technology performance metrics.

EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
