SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Assists with: a variety of tasks and operations to prepare, serve and receive payment for food and non-food items offered in the cafeteria. Follows standard practices and procedures in the Food and Nutrition Services Department. Maintains a high level of sanitation and safety in accordance with regulatory agencies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Any combination of education and experience that would demonstrate the capability to perform the duties of the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

• Restaurant experience is preferred. 
• One (1) month effective experience in a retail, convenience store, or restaurant environment preferred. 
• Must be able to read, comprehend and follow simple verbal and written instruction. 
• Must have basic math skills, and verbal and written communication skills. 
• Must be able to understand work schedules, production sheets, and recipes.
• Must be able to operate a cash register, calculate change, calculate stock-on-hand vs. need, use serving and preparation tools and equipment.
