In this role, you will:

• Travel between worksites to provide exceptional patient care and customer-focused service at a variety of locations.

• Perform venipuncture on patients of all ages.

• Collect/prepare non-blood specimens.

• Ensure proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering.

• Perform blood draws competently and expediently with as little patient discomfort as possible.

• Utilize standard procedures to identify the patient, record appropriate collection information. Label and record all test tubes, log procedures and enter specimen data into computer system.

• Responds quickly, courteously and in a professional manner towards patients, client staff and coworkers. Resolve issues and ensure quality patient care.

• Follow standard precautions at all times. Routine handling of biohazardous and/or chemical hazardous material.

• Utilize company resources to aid with day-to-day operations and the specimen data input (i.e. test catalog, client services, etc.).

• Verify that phlebotomist correctly obtain, process, and transport their specimens in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Train all employees on new procedures or changes to existing procedures.

• Ensure phlebotomist maintain a professional appearance.

• Maintain workflow schedule. Coordinate completion of time-sensitive tasks/requests.

• Ensure that phlebotomist are monitoring inventory and ordering supplies in a timely fashion.

• Effectively communicate deficiencies to appropriate personnel, including deficiencies related to specimens, paperwork, database information, and equipment.

All you need is:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Previous phlebotomy training or experience

• A valid driver's license and an excellent driving record for the past three years.

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Basic computer and data entry skills

Bonus points if you've got:

• 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing

• Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians
