Description

Summary:

The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to on long-range goals or plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation.

Requirements:

A.Education/Skills

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.

B.Experience

Required 3 years of RN experience in Medical Surgical

C.Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

BLS required

RN License in state of employment or compact

Current PALS certification at time of hire or within 12 weeks of hire for experienced RNs

Current ACLS certification at time of hire or within 12 weeks of hire for experienced RNs

Current TNCC and ENPC certification within 12 months of hire for experienced RNs

Moderate Sedation within 3 months of hire for experienced RNs

Current de-escalation training or completion within 90 days of employment with annual recertification

Arrhythmia recognition within 8 weeks of hire

Current NIHSS certification at time of hire or within 90 days of hire for experienced RNs
