The role you’ll contribute:
The Director of Business & Population Health Operations reports to the Executive Director of Centrus Health. Under the direction of the Executive Director, this role supports and leads the design, implementation and coordination of the population health operations and information technology (IT) business annual planning cycle, facilitates and analyzes IT and operations performance and process standardization, and provides strategic analysis of Clinically Integrated Network (CIN)population health and IT-enabled business strategies, while ensuring ongoing performance monitoring, dashboard development and maintenance.The Director of Business & Population Health Operations works in collaboration with internal and external analysts, operational leaders, employer and payor relationships. The Director will act as a program manager and support the development of key strategies for the CIN. This includes analyzing existing processes, researching technologies, creating standardized processes, and developing new alternatives to simplify, standardize, and optimize Centrus Health operations and services. Supports CIN governance committees and assists with development of annual strategic plans with tactical implementation. Serves as key connector to internal and external stakeholders, such as IT, Legal, Analytics, Compliance, Marketing, Communications, etc. With guidance from the executive team, the Director of Population Health Operations supports new programs and initiatives including clinical practice transformation, novel payor contracting arrangements, Centrus participants and provider educational programs to develop population health expertise and competency. Leads and manages projects and ad hoc initiatives. Within the areas and projects of assigned responsibility, the Director will act as the point of escalation for stakeholders and serves as the liaison between assigned areas of Population Health Operations/IT Business Planning and other Centrus entities.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Evaluate and assess new IT requests to determine appropriate course of action in context of strategic IT initiatives, current software standards, and existing Centrus Health policies and procedures.
Research and analyze new technology solutions and compile work product to support the IT decision-making process. Identify, define and deploy opportunities to develop and grow the business through effective IT solutions.
Develop customer-specific IT strategies into roadmaps and work plans for appointed areas utilizing various tools
Build and maintain relationships with customers as the primary point of contact for the business to ensure IT solutions, communication, and priorities are aligned with business strategy.
Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of IT and assigned areas to identify and communicate how existing IT solutions can support business needs. Liaison between assigned areas and IT by understanding the day-to-day working and decision-making process of the business.
Direct and execute responsibilities related to the Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) across all operational areas, working in support of the Executive Director and physician leaders.
Manage growth, performance, and provider transformation under value/risk-based reimbursement model.
Build sustained payer and provider partner relationships essential for network growth and success.
Provide leadership oversight for development and maintenance of dashboards and action plans to ensure metrics and work plans are monitored and used regularly for performance improvement.
Serve as an advocate of the Centrus Health network and assigned areas in various settings including Operations (population health and IT) and CIN Governance Committees, Steering Committees, Conferences, Vendor meetings, and other collaborators.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, technology or other related field or ten (10) years of leadership experience in healthcare, provider practice, health plan or technology
Minimum five (5) years of healthcare management experience
Experience with Population Health solutions
Experience leading multiple teams
Project management experience
Program administration or development experience
Experience implementing a variety of improvement methodologies including development and management of performance dashboards with cascading metrics and aligned action plans.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Advanced degree in Business, Healthcare Management, Population Health Program or related field
Healthcare operations and/or Physician practice management
Formal Process Improvement Training
Financial management and Business development experience
