Responsibilities Under the direction of the department director, the Specialty Equipment Tech tracks and maintains all rental specialty equipment and owned specialty beds. Demonstrate effective communication skills to accurately convey patient information to RN, LPN and other members of the team in a timely manner. Delivering equipment to all units within the hospital. Accountable for administrative functions, such as equipment report accuracy, maintenance requests and equipment inventory. Works closely with Central Services, Environmental Services, and rental equipment vendors to ensure all specialty care needs are being met and equipment is not lost or being underutilized. Demonstrate intermediate computer skills to accurately track and document equipment usage (previous Excel experience preferred) Experience: Two years of hospital CNA experience-Preferred Previous Specialty Equipment Tech experience-Preferred License/Certification/Education: BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association)- Required. CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant license) OR completion of a PCT training program-Required Education: High School or Equivalent- Required
